BluIce - EPICS source distribution
This directory contains weekly source code TARs of BluIce-EPICS, a branch
of BluIce interfacing EPICS.
BluIce is a control system for macromolecular crystallography beamlines
being developed, distributed and supported by Stanford Synchrotron Radiation
Laboratory (SSRL). EPICS is a low level distributed control system commonly used
by many synchrotron radiation beamlines at a number of synchrotrons
including APS, NSLS, SLS, and Diamond.
The BluIce-EPICS branch implemented by the GM/CA CAT at Argonne National
Laboratory uses EPICS as a sole backend to interface beamline hardware while
preserving the original BluIce user interface layer. It should be emphasized
that BluIce-EPICS is not a plugin to BluIce, but a system with a different
architecture.
