Experimental Envelope

Pin types and lengths

All standard Hampton type cryo pins can be accommodated.
All MiTyGen pins will be accommodated
All Lytholoops will be accommodated

User Data Backups

Supported media
External firewire (IEEE 1394) disks or USB 2.0 (fast) and USB 1.1 (slow) devices. SFTP or FTP out to the home lab. This will work ONLY for outbound traffic. External access to GM/CA computers is not available due to Argonne cyber security policies. No other devices (tape drives, DVD burners etc) are supported or provided.

Supported formats
FAT32, NTFS and ext3 are supported for firewire/USB devices. Ext3 only for Linux machines NTFS only for Windows machines FAT32 only for Windows machines Please check back for latest updates. Our standards will change as new drivers are made available. We do not support any other formats, including MAC OS.

Note: Users can bring disks with ANY FORMAT if they are connected to users’ own portable computers. In this case backup may be slower.
